Some messes are easy to clean. Others, not always. Listed below are some of the toughest and most annoying cleaning problems and their solutions:

Grout in between tiles

Grout in between tiles is one of the most difficult and recurring cleaning problems. It gives tiled spaces an unappealing look. To deal with grout, mix 3 parts baking soda and 1part bleach. Apply the paste on the grout lines, leave for 10-15 minutes, scrub with a brush, rinse and love your sparkling tiles!

Pet hair on furniture
Pet hair can be very tricky to clean up since the hairs are very fine. For easy cleanup of pet hair from furniture, put on rubber gloves and dampen them. Run your hand over the hair-covered furniture. The dampness on the rubber glove helps all hair to stick to the glove. Rinse off the glove, collect the hair and dump.

Dirty Stove Burners
Oil, grease, constant heating and reheating makes dirty stove burners a real challenge to clean up. When rigorous scrubbing doesn’t help, try this simple trick. Place the burner in a large ziploc bag and add ¼ cup of ammonia into the bag. Seal and leave it overnight. The ammonia fumes works its magic and breaks down all the murk and grease. Wipe it with a sponge and voila! Your stove burners are as good as new!

Hard Water Stains
If you have hard water stains in your bathroom/ kitchen, remember that vinegar is your best friend! Vinegar works wonderfully in removing hard water stains. Mix equal parts water and white vinegar, put in a spray bottle and spray away on hard water-stained areas. Wipe and be prepared to be blinded by the sheer brightness from clean surfaces. (Yes, I’m exaggerating but trust me, it will be shiny!)
